Hot-Rolled vs Explosion-Bonded Clad Pipe — Which Should You Buy?
Hot-rolled bimetal clad pipe bonds a stainless layer to a carbon-steel core at ≥250 MPa shear strength with 100% ultrasonic inspection across Φ20–3500 mm — for most line pipe it beats explosion bonding on cost, quality and delivery.
BS 5163, DIN 3352 or AWWA C515 — Which Gate Valve Standard Fits Your Market?
BS 5163 serves UK and Commonwealth water works, DIN 3352 (F4/F5) serves continental Europe, and AWWA C515 serves North America — choosing by project specification instead of by habit avoids re-approval costs.
Handheld Laser Welding vs TIG — Cost per Joint, Honestly Compared
For 1–3 mm stainless and aluminum, handheld fiber laser welding typically completes a joint 3–4× faster than TIG with a fraction of the heat input — the saving shows up as less distortion, less rework and lower cost per joint.
Inside the benelabo Manufacturing Network
- 300+ CNC machines across two specialized factories — job-shop tolerances and mass-production gear lines under one quality system.
- IATF 16949 & ISO 9001 certified — automotive-grade quality management, audited annually.
- 30,000 m² manufacturing base with in-house gear metrology and Hexagon CMM inspection.
- FAI / PPAP / SPC / CPK documentation ships with first articles and batches on request.

Why Us
Four verifiable commitments — each one a number you can hold us to, not an adjective:
±0.01 mm
Standard machining accuracy, verified on Hexagon CMM equipment — held across batches, not just on first articles.
24 h
Engineering-reviewed quotation from your drawing — complex assemblies confirmed within 48 hours.
MOQ 1
First articles start from a single piece, then scale to 50,000-unit runs under the same process documentation.
300+
Machines across two specialized factories — where the traceable numbers below come from.
Where Does the ±0.01 mm Promise Come From?
It is not a marketing line. It is the repeatable output of a measured machine park and a certified quality system — the same numbers our inspectors verify on every batch:
136+132
Machining centers and CNC lathes running in parallel for batch consistency.
260
Employees including 20 technical experts and 18 dedicated QC staff.
30,000 m²
Production facility with in-house inspection laboratory.
Where Does the 50-Year Clad Pipe Promise Come From?
Bimetal clad steel pipe is our second flagship. A stainless layer is vacuum hot-rolled onto a carbon-steel core — a full metallurgical bond with no liner to detach and no coating to maintain. The same numbers appear on every mill test report:

≥250 MPa
Interface shear strength of the hot-rolled metallurgical bond, with a 100% bonding rate verified by ultrasonic inspection.
30-50%
Material cost saving versus solid stainless pipe — corrosion resistance exactly where it matters, at the medium-facing layer.
50 yr
Design life in corrosive service against roughly 20 years for coated carbon steel — a maintenance-free stainless contact surface.
Φ20-3500 mm
Spiral, longitudinal and high-frequency welded clad pipe from one mill, plus clad plates and coils from 0.17 to 400 mm.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you hold ±0.01 mm tolerance in volume production?
Yes. ±0.01 mm is our standard machining accuracy, held across batches by SPC process monitoring and verified on Hexagon CMM equipment. Volume consistency comes from running 136 machining centers and 132 CNC lathes in parallel under an IATF 16949 quality system.
What is your MOQ for a first article?
First-article inspection (FAI) runs start from a single piece. After sample approval we scale to batch production with the same process documentation — customers routinely move from prototype to 50,000-unit runs with us.
Do you support FAI, PPAP, SPC and CPK documentation?
Yes — our IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certified quality system issues FAI reports, PPAP documentation, SPC charts and CPK studies on request. Ask for the documentation package together with your quotation.
How fast will I receive a quotation?
Standard RFQs receive an engineering-reviewed quotation within 24 hours. Complex assemblies may need 48 hours; we confirm the timeline when we receive your files.
What file formats do you accept for quotations?
PDF drawings, STEP/STP, IGES, DWG/DXF, SLDPRT and standard image files — upload directly with the RFQ form below or attach by email to [email protected].
Beyond machining, what products can you supply?
Through our manufacturing network we supply bimetal clad steel pipes and plates, precision gears and transmission shafts, S750 Zn-Al-Mg PV mounting brackets, highway guardrails and industrial valves to BS 5163 / AWWA / DIN standards — quoted and coordinated as one order.
What is bimetal clad steel pipe?
A two-layer pipe with a carbon-steel core for strength and a metallurgically bonded stainless layer for corrosion resistance. Vacuum hot rolling bonds the layers at the atomic level — unlike loose-lined or coated pipe, there is no liner to collapse and no coating to maintain. It typically saves 30-50% versus solid stainless pipe and is produced to GB/T 31940 and international pipeline standards.
